India-New Zealand 3rd Test may get cancelled

In the wake of Supreme Court-appointed Lodha Committee seeking freeze of BCCI Accounts, The third and final Test Match between India and New Zealand scheduled to happen in Indore from October 8th to 12th is likely to be called off.

Actually, The accounts of BCCI were operated by two banks (Bank of Maharashtra & Yes Bank). Lodha Committee sought details from BCCI over disbursement of payments and subsidies to the State Associations. It forwarded letters to BCCI CEO, Secretary and Treasurer for violating Supreme Court order on disbursing large amount of funds to State Associations.

A BCCI Member told, Lodha Panel is raising queries regarding the money which belongs to BCCI and is being distributed among its State Associations as per its norms. How could the 3rd Test Match be played if BCCI accounts were freezed as there will be no money for expenses which could amount to few crores?

Sources say, Issues between BCCI and Lodha Panel might be sorted out by October 6th.
